The Daily Herald, the third largest newspaper in circulation in Illinois, endorsed Clint Krislov for Illinois State Comptroller today.
‘I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Daily Herald, they recognize the need for a Comptroller with courage,” said Krislov. ‘As the taxpayers’ watchdog I will stand up and fight waste and corruption in our state government.”
Quotes from the editorial appear below:
“The Democratic race for comptroller has three very capable candidates, and while their priorities and ideas vary, it’s difficult to find much to criticize.”
“Clint Krislov, also an attorney, would employ a forensic auditor and proposes to streamline the auditor general’s many accounting systems into a uniform system to reduce inefficiency.”
“From this impressive trio, we like the ethics-minded Krislov, who already has proved he’s more than talk. He pushed for and helped fund the Center of Open Government at Chicago-Kent College of Law. The center offers free legal assistance in cases challenging closed government processes. A class-action lawyer, we believe he has the courage to stand up to powerful public and private interests.” READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE
